Fits my iMac and iPad needs perfectly

I recently upgraded a MacBook Pro with a side SD card reader to a 2017 iMac with a rear SD card reader. Having a reader on the back is terrible. I have to move my iMac to get to the port. So I needed something more comfortable. After a long search I decided on this reader. I am very satisfied after about 4 weeks of use. My requirements were: 1. Must have a built in cable (I hate the mini USB 3 connection, it's too unreliable)2. Must be able to read SD and CF3 cards. Must be USB 34. Must be able

Convenient and good value for money

Let me start by saying that I don't know why it took me so long to buy one of these. Now that almost everything has Wi-Fi, you can share what the fuss is about. But it was worth it. I bought it for two reasons: 1) the SD card reader on my laptop gave me problems, some SD cards showed up quickly, others didn't even bother, 2) I bought a DSLR and removing the SD -Card is much easier. than connecting the whole camera to my computer. This little dongle does exactly what it's supposed to do, plug…

Don't think, just understand. Seriously

I can find that it does what it's supposed to do and can read multiple cards in the card reader with no problem. The only thing I can't check is the CF slot as I can't find mine as I haven't used it for a very long time. but if i find it i will post it here. The only thing I can say about the negative aspect is that I would like it to be a bit smaller, but I understand that this is all in one reader too. The CF pins, although I didn't test this area, I will be careful when inserting it into the

It's a keeper! to Memory Card Adapter

I chose this particular model after reading numerous reviews of both this and competing products. It looks well built with the cable plugged in all the time and works as advertised with a high speed USB 3.0 connection to the computer (SP3). It had no problem reading my Lexar SDXC U3 cards or others I've tried - CF, SD and TF (Micro-SD). I tried copying an old 223MB folder with various JPG and TIF files from CF to SD card and it worked fine with an average speed of around 1.7MB/s. Copying the…

Pros
  • Compact design and excellent quality: so practical and yet so compact. Easy to pick up and go. Reinforced cable, tinned pure copper core and internal multi-layer shielding, rugged exterior and heat-resistant connectors ensure high transmission efficiency and exceptional durability. The short end of the 1.5ft cable reduces stress on your computer's USB port and does not interfere with the use of neighboring ports. The LED indicator lights up when the card reader is connected to the computer.

Unfortunately a complete piece of useless garbage

This worked "well" the first few times, but then the map you were trying to copy to the computer disappeared mid-stream. Extreme stroke of luck that the card would be readable at all. Sometimes it worked if you removed and reinserted the card enough times. So I did a little research and downloaded a firmware update from the manufacturer. After updating the firmware, the reader appears as four drive letters in My Computer as before, but the card itself no longer appears no matter how many times…
