Pack of 2 Ultra-Fab 48-979002 24-Inch Scissor Jacks Review

They worked as a replacement for the original stabilizers on my Flagstaff Micro-Lite trailer. The screw holes matched the original holes on the trailer exactly. The only problem was that the threads were the opposite of what my original stabilizer bars had. New stabilizers must be rotated in the opposite direction to the original ones to retract and open.

Ordered to replace the jack on my 2013 Forest River Surveyor. Arrived two days later. The jack is heavier than the original, has a lubricated shaft and works great. The top plate of my original jack was welded to the frame and also bolted. Since I couldn't remove the plate from the camper, I removed the top plate of the new jack and screwed the new jack onto the plate of the old jack. I am very happy with this product as it is better than the original.

I bent 3 out of 4 stabilizer jacks on my Coachman Clipper RV. Stupid action on my part! While at the state park, I looked at different locations for bushings and settled on one. I was concerned about the location of the bolt holes and whether these jacks would be as strong as the ones on the RV. No problem. Includes two jacks and control handle. Good price. The jack has good load-bearing capacity and is easy to rotate. It is difficult to keep the jack steady when lifting until you touch the object to be lifted. I found it easier to work with by building a small platform on top of a 16" 2" x 12" piece of treated wood. Also has the benefit of providing a solid base should you place the jack directly on a soft surface such as black mud or soft ground.

I purchased these in September 2017 to replace 2 OEM's that I have damaged. They work very well. But last weekend, on the way home, the nut for lowering and raising the jack fell off. Fits my trailer like it was made for it. The old ones came with a trailer, a 2006 Fleetwood Spirit. I often scraped the ground and pulled off the sloping road. I finally have to buy a new one. The jacks work according to plan but were unfortunately poorly delivered. The packaging is the original cheap cardboard, which I think should be stored on a shelf and not transported. As a result, the crate was in tatters when it arrived and both jacks received some cosmetic damage. The return process for these is a pain so I will most likely just leave them.
