Broke after 2 months. The inner piece of plastic on the telescope joint broke without unusual effort, which I wouldn't call normal wear and tear. Since my purchase didn't meet Revain's return policy, I contacted the manufacturer directly, who agreed to send me a replacement. I will be revising my star rating on this product after a few months of using a replacement. Very disappointed with this device. I bought this because I previously bought another Unger telescopic pole that goes up to 20 feet. It has some really good threading mechanisms to lock the bar when it comes out. This one doesn't, and the "first stage" doesn't stay blocked at all and now needs to be secured with tape after no more than three uses. I tried. I sent the first one back and then the second one came back for the same reason. In either case, the top extension will not securely lock into the fully extended position. I needed this rod to remove a broken lamp (it doesn't have a standard screw base and requires a detachable taper rod). In order for you to be able to push up the broken lamp base and then twist the rod to remove it, all parts of the extension rod must be firmly snapped into place. Neither bar I received did this. Cons: If you are using the Ettore 65000 Professional Progrip window cleaning kit, it will not fit without some modifications. Instructions aren't included, but even if they were, they wouldn't help with the struggle it took to unlock this pup.
