This case is excellent and especially suitable for Mac related silver hardware if you have it on your desk. I docked the star because the case didn't have the little rubber feet that it badly needs as it's sleek and sits squarely on the table.

I bought two of these cases for a project I was working on. Both suitcases arrived quickly and well packaged. Unfortunately, both cases were deformed, as if someone had grabbed the case at both ends and twisted it vigorously. As the shipping materials were in very good condition I believe this to be a manufacturing defect. Both boxes went back into their boxes and to my garbage heap.

Great solid product. Will probably buy another one. The memory card has a slot, but it really can't be removed once it's in, but it's the most durable case I've seen. Also, don't lose the screws. They don't give you anything extra. Aside from the slot and the chance you'll be looking for a screw on the floor if you drop it, this is the perfect case.

I've been looking for some metal cases for my cards but this isn't what you need. Once you assemble it, you'll notice that the card is embedded in the case. So you basically have to open it to change the map. To top it off, if you don't get it perfect you will bend and break your card in half. I just broke mine trying to get the card out so I can update something. In each of my other cases, I simply insert and remove the card. Sturdy construction and nice clean assembly lines. However, removing the SD card is incredibly difficult even if there is an access slot. Inserting a card is not a problem. All in all it was worth it.

I am satisfied with this item. It's beautifully anodized aluminum, just like the MacBook. It's lightweight but sturdy. There was an oddity: it was assembled backwards so the pi ports were on the wrong side (I uploaded this photo). This was a simple fix by removing 4 more bolts and swapping out the end plates. It worked. I would buy it again.
