Didn't work well with my keyboard

I was really excited when I first got it as I was looking for a way to hide all my cables under my desk. At first everything seemed fine. The ethernet latency was about the same as when connecting directly to the computer, so the work there is good and everything worked at first glance. But after restarting the computer it wouldn't boot because it couldn't find the keyboard. Strange. I fiddled with the cables and everything worked, but the next day the keyboard didn't work again (Steelseriesโ€ฆ

Ideal for clearer calculations.

The thing is damn cool. I use it on my Raspi. Pi cluster and really great component. Not only can I plug it into the main ethernet port and add a data stream to my network that can send commands to any stack (because of USB 3.0's incredible transfer rates), but I can also use it to power all 4 Pis on the Network. stack, but as a gateway for initial parallel instructions through each of the unit test algorithms. Saves tons of time and money and is a much safer test environment for testingโ€ฆ

Potentially dangerous for your computer

This USB hub can be incredibly dangerous for your computer. Perhaps it is the reverse current back into the device that can short out various parts of your computer and cause a lot of costly damage. Backfeed can also prevent various things from resetting properly or power off completely. I think my hub is back-powered because when I unplug the hub from my computer and from the outlet it still turns on the lights on my keyboard. I unplugged it for over 48 hours and it still lights up myโ€ฆ

malnutrition. Network connection error. Look for another alternative.

I have two issues with this hub which lead me to the conclusion that it is not getting enough power and is shutting down your network router when it tries to power it over the ethernet cable. 1) When I plug an ethernet line into a network port, I get a network connection for about 10 minutes. Then it clears my router. I ran extensive tests to rule out bad cables and connections. My only conclusion is that it's trying to either get power from my router or short it out. 2) Randomly a few times aโ€ฆ

Ideal for those who use a laptop as their primary device.

There's not much to say about this USB hub other than it works, and it works well. Day after day managing a bundle of cables to connect all my peripherals. Thankfully, this USB hub lets me connect 7 devices and a wired Ethernet connection to a single USB connection, making setup at home easy. I literally just plug in a hub, power adapter and HDMI when I want to use my projector. This saves a lot of setup time when I get home, but also allows me to connect more devices than my laptop offersโ€ฆ
