1. There is no Double-deck system. Look at my pictures. It's one piece of plastic molded to have a paper thin second area that does nothing. My cheap bread knife clangs back and forth. The tip of my good 8-inch knife touches the hard plastic bottom. Paring knives are just too small for it. Both pairs of kitchen scissors I tried, fit just okay.2. There is no hole for the sharpening rod. The box says there is.I'm not going to risk using this, especially for my good knives.

I have silver and black appliances, with white marble counters and backsplash, so the traditional wood knife block that came with my knives would not suffice. This one is perfect. It fit my entire matching set of knives, plus some open box knives I had purchase previously that I was forced to keep in the drawer, they can now go in my knife block.

First, I am only giving this knife holder 4 stars because I haven’t had it that long. If it keeps up to more constant use, I think it can deserve 5 stars. I really like the vertical design. I was so tired of my big old block of wood. Also, what was in all those slots I couldn’t see! The clear cylinder let’s me see every knife and it’s easy to take apart and clean. I can fit more in it as well. The only thing I miss is a place for my kitchen scissors.

I got the white one. It saves space in the kitchen to store your knives but It’s plastic so it doesn’t have any weight, even with the knives in it, it tips easily and the knives go sideways. Very dangerous. Maybe the other options are more sturdy but the white option I do not recommend it, specially if you use your knives a lot.

This is the second one I have purchased. The first cost $10 more elsewhere. I like the ability to put the knives in any slot making it possible to use some slots for two. The small footprint replaced my wood knife holder with room to spare. I was able to load all the knives from my wood holder plus my new sheathed set from a famous cook. Great way to hold your knives or, like in my case, hold your leftover knives that don't fit in your other knife holders. It is a bit top heavy with large knives. I dinged it one star because it would be a bit better if they put some weight down low. If I can find something I'll put it in the canister.

So much better than one of the wooden ones. You can clean the inside ensuring that your knives, too, are clean. It holds a lot of knives plus scissors and knife sharpener. Takes up less space and is easier to move around on the counter.

What a great idea! Takes up much less space, with more knives, than the old wooden block. Hygienic. And light enough so that you can move it easily to the work area in your kitchen where you are prepping/slicing/dicing - to have all your knives to hand. The transparent body shows off my shiny, stainless knives, and the whole thing looks good in our remodeled kitchen.

Just what I needed to store my knives safely without hogging the counter or drawer. I like the ability to fit any size knife in this block, and it holds more and varying sizes than a standard block. The only drawback is when loaded with knives it becomes top-heavy. I added some decorative rocks in the bottom for weight., but it woukd have been njce if it had a weighted bottom.

Nice clean design. It’s top heavy with my knives in place. Remedied by placing a dollar store bag of rocks inside to keep it from tipping.

Amazing product! Genius idea. We have such a tiny kitchen that any space we can save is a miracle. This not only saves a big space the old wood knife block used to occupy but it looks way more modern and sleek. I can’t believe it fits all of my knives. 6 big ones and 8 steak! Highly recommend!

I've had a Chicago Cutlery set for a few years that I really like, but the block took up so much space on the counter and was starting to look grungy no matter how I cleaned it. This is clean and neat looking and takes up very little space on my counter.

It takes up a lot less space than your traditional block. My only downside is that the kitchen scissors don't fit. Other than that I am pretty happy to clear up some counter space.

Just what I was looking for! I had a stainless steel knife holder but it was large. I have a small house with limited space so this was perfect. I like the see thru design & the ease of cleaning. Right now I have 6 steak knives & 6 larger knives in the holder plus scissors & have plenty of room. I could easily get 5 more knives in it. Perfect pick!

I really like our new knife holder! It holds many knives and they are easily in & out of the holder. It can be a bit top heavy and may tilt forward but we are aware of it. I may put something heavy in the bottom to solve the problem. All in all I would recommend this knife holder! Looks great compared to our old wood holder.

It works great. I love that it can be taken apart to be thoroughly cleaned.Just a heads up, the bottom on mine was very loose and pops off sometimes. Doesn’t bother me as it’s always on the counter, but it sure did startle my husband when he was checking it out and it fell and a little corner broke.
