I'm glad I bought both items and plan to buy some of them.

I needed a small torch to braze copper tubing and it provided proper heat dissipation. It fits my wh550 torch handle perfectly and I found I got a Uniweld F15 adapter from Revain. Buy some more microtips.

Pros
  • Fits Welding Handle 71 or WH550
Cons
  • Volume

Good little tip but not for alternative fuels

Couldn't get it to work with mapp or propane at any pressure I've tried. Probably works fine with acetylene, but I haven't tried it since I switched to mapp/propane for all my heaters with a transporter setting. Good size but didn't fit me. Suitable for Victor Light Duty J series grips (less than 100fc) and flashlight grips - I used them on the J28 grip which is similar to the SKH-7A TURBOSKILL grip.

Pros
  • Provides a stable, concentrated flame even in windy weather
Cons

Flame problems in tips

Fits small 1/4, 3/8, 5/16 copper, forget anything larger than 1/2. It just doesn't get hot enough for me. I try increasing the amount of fuel and oxygen a bit and taxiing with a neutral flame, but the flame tends to pull away from the end and not stay in place. It seems to work best as a reducing flame, despite being very small and not very hot. I'll keep it in the set but use my number 3 for anything larger than 1/2 (which is typical for me). Good luck soldering 3/4 or 7/8. Maybe I caught a…

Pros
  • Tip angle copper, mixer and brass nut
Cons
  • Cable shorter than others

Great for hard joints, works with Victor J28 grips

My soldering skills are pretty good but I was completely humbled trying 1/2" and 5/8 Soldering "inch" lines to a 3-ton residential HVAC compressor for the first time. My #2 tip just couldn't get the joint hot enough for a good soldering job. I did a little research and found, that I needed a bud bit but my light victor rig doesn't have a bud bit for my small J28 grip that uses WJ bits this tip fits perfectly has enough flow requirements for my small setup and I've learned how to solder them to…

Pros
  • Can solder up to 1 1/2" copper
Cons
  • Stock available
