Description of Upgrade Your Toolkit With GEARWRENCH'S 3-Piece 120XP Teardrop Ratchet Set

120XP ratchets have two double stacked 60-tooth pawls (120 positions) providing a 3° swing arc so you can turn fasteners in tighter confines. Double-stacked pawls alternately engage the 60 tooth gear, providing exceptional strength. Teardrop, low-profile head and flush-mounted on/off switch allow better access in tight spaces. Enclosed head design for extreme resistance to dirt infiltration. Highly visible markings on the head. Longer reach handle to access hard-to-reach fasteners. Bright, full polish chrome finish easily wipes clean and resists corrosion. Meets or exceeds ASME specifications

Must have tool - my new review

Fantastic alternative to Snap On or other Shop grade brands. These can take a beating and click with just a touch of movement. Essential for tight space work.

Pros
  • Thanks!!! I like them, works Great!!!
Cons
  • The ratchets may be too bulky for some users

They look to be good quality.

Feels really heavy duty, wish they came greased already, however they don't. I will write another review after I use them a few months.

Pros
  • The set is perfect for both professional mechanics and DIYers who require a reliable and high-performance toolkit
Cons
  • The teardrop design may be difficult to grip for some users

best period ! - my new review

recommend, watch on u-tube, work shop addict, review, they even put a breaker bar on 1/2". if Brian say's it's that good n strong. it is, ya'lls review's mean nothing ! there top notch, n I once thought my Craftsman awesome! technology changes in time! these about the best today ! my Craftsman from 1980's. Kobalt ok. with 72 teeth. but these the boss !

Pros
  • I love these wrenches, best ones I ever owned, and will perches gearwrench tools again.
Cons
  • May not be suitable for precision work

Life savers for the tightest spots. Might take a while to torque down a nut in such a tight space, but at least you can tighten it!

Pros
  • Great improvement over the Craftsman ratchets they replaced. We’ll see how they last.
Cons
  • The teardrop design may not be comfortable for all users

Discounted price = Not brand new

Buyer beware. I can't speak for the set you'll get at the full price but if it's the discounted price then you won't be getting first quality. I don't know if they are refurbished or didn't pass quality control but it's obvious after carefully inspecting the tools they appear to have been used or slightly damaged and the seller is trying to pass them off as new. Do blemishes impact performance? Doubt it but if seller isn't being honest about the condition then you can only wonder.

Pros
  • Meets or exceeds ASME specifications
Cons
  • The reverse lever may wear down over time

Finish quality could be better

Like other reviews, finish on these ratchets are really bad. I got a metal splinter in my skin when I removed the ratchets out of the tray. These ratchets are new but they don't look new because of rough handling and lack of cleaning from the manufacturer. Tools I bought from Harbor Freight have better finish than this Gearwrench set, maybe I expected too much from the other positive reviews, other than that they function OK.

Pros
  • A great ratchet for the price
Cons
  • The ratchets may be prone to stripping bolts or nuts

Great value! for my opinion

Great set of ratchets. The fit and finish is on point, and they are a pleasure to use. A serious upgrade from my decades old Craftsman set.

Pros
  • Great Feel, very nice ratchets so far
Cons
  • The ratchets may not be capable of handling impact loads

Love these ratchets!

I am so glad I made this purchase. These replace my 84 tooth Craftsman and 72 tooth Snap-on. I use them daily at my job and the hold up so well, the tight angle swing has been a life saver on more than one occasion. I recommend all the 120XP products in fact. I also love their long, swivel ratchet wrenches as well.

Pros
  • Great set !
Cons
  • May not be suitable for left-handed users

Very happy so far good for me

Very happy so far. Nice look and feel. Love the fine tooth ratcheting mechanism. Time will tell on durability, but feels solid.

Pros
  • Tools & Home Improvement
Cons
  • May not be suitable for use with non-standard socket sizes

GearWrench is my new go-to source for high quality, lifetime guaranteed tools. at very reasonable prices. These full polish ratchets have a great feel in your hand. They have a low profile, dirt resistant head, which get into more tight places other ratchets will not. And the 120 tooth ratchet is so smooth it is addicting! GearWrench 120XP Ratchets: Recommended!

Pros
  • Highly visible markings on the head
Cons
  • May not be suitable for cold weather use

Way better then the tool truck ratchets

I hate comfort grip. But that’s not what this is about let me learn ya. These ratchets are not only the best in my opinion but they come with a flex head model as well and that’s dope. They are super sensitive and allow for a 3 degree arc to get in on some of that right space action that makes us all wet lol. Anyway I use this set on the daily as my job requires me to turn a wrench. Get them in this set and the flex set and call it a day way better then the tool truck ratchets

Pros
  • The head of each ratchet is slim and low profile, allowing you to easily access bolts and nuts that are difficult to reach
Cons
  • May be too bulky for portability

Excellent after heavy use

Comfortable in the hand, finish is holding up well, ratcheting actions still holding up very well after a lot of use. I have recommended these to many people. I needed a high quality 1/4" ratchet for motorcycle maintenance. I had gone threw husky, kobalt, and craftsman versions and was not happy with any of them. I bought this whole set and a single snap-on 1/4" ratchet, yes about the same price, to compare. I really do use the 1/4" almost exclusively and wanted a really good one! I would have…

Pros
  • good
Cons
  • The teeth on the ratchets may wear down over time

Nice ratchets on my review.

They are not SnapOn but they don't cost anywhere near what SnapOn costs. I compared them to some older USA made Craftsman ratchets and some newer Chinese Crafsman ratchets. They are much heavier than but Craftsman ratchets. They are smoother than both Craftsman but this is due to the 120 tooth configuration. They will work very well in tight places. They only thing I don't care for is that they are longer than the Craftsman ratchets. I would prefer them to be shorter for tight places.

Pros
  • Awesome product! Extremely pleased with the ratchets
Cons
  • The ratchet size may be difficult to read

Nice wrenches! on my review.

I have very old Craftsman wrenches that never worked very smoothly. After reading lots of reviews, i purchased these and am super happy - very heavy / high quality with very smooth mechanism.

Pros
  • The GEARWRENCH 3-Piece 120XP Teardrop Ratchet Set is a value-packed bundle, offering you three top-performing ratchets at an affordable price
Cons
  • May not be suitable for use with extension bars

Amazing quality tools.

I’m very happy with the purchase. Quality is amazing, very smooth ratchets and it makes it very useful in tight spaces where you can’t hold the socket but the ratchet still clicks over.

Pros
  • The set comes in a handy storage case that keeps your tools organized and protected from environmental factors such as moisture and dust
Cons
  • May not be suitable for use in wet or humid conditions

Amazing ratchet set, will keep forever

In my opinion 5 stars means operates perfectly, everything is perfect, nothing wrong in anyway shape or form, and performs like that for a long time. So with that, onto the Pros and Cons, with a brief summary:Cons:Had a couple scratches in the chrome on the 1/2" ratchetThe 1/4" ratchet was a little sticky on my first initial spins, however cleared up upon 5-10 revolutions and hasn't had a problem sinceThe packaging is bullet proof and obnoxious to open (Not really a con, just…

Pros
  • i like these ratchets they work good
Cons
  • May not be suitable for use with extensions

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Work great, scratch easily

Good: 60-tooth but 120 clicks = minimum swing arc AND the strength of thicker teeth.Bad: The chrome on the ones I received was so thin the heads of the ratchet scratched after just one use in a spot to tight for an extension. Not an issue for me but could be to those who collect tools instead of using them.

Pros
  • Ratchet Wrenches
Cons
  • May not be suitable for use with deep sockets
