When we first received the product we were very happy with it. We wanted to replace our plastic that lasted for years with something more durable. Item broken after 2 months. The highlighted "welded" components just popped out of the groove. I strongly advise against purchasing this product.

We love this apple corer! This is a lot easier than any other method of coring an apple, but you need to make sure your fingers are firmly on the handles and out of the way. hard enough, they must be pressed down with a certain force. With other varieties of apples, softer, it is much easier to use.

I bought this slicer to replace an 8-10 year old slicer that no longer slices. With very sporadic use, it finally broke down last week while we were getting ready for Thanksgiving dinner. Even before it broke I wasn't a fan of how hard it was to push the apples. I thought smaller slices would be better, but I think more slices actually make it harder to press. It has never been as durable as my old food slicer and was an overall disappointment.
