I bought this for my daughter to play with but when we got it it was stiff and fell apart immediately if you stretched it and it made a mess too

What I like best about these erasers is that they leave no trace when erasing. They absorb graphite very well, are very soft and easily malleable, but have a good "medium size". The price can only cheer. They have a different but slight chemical odor when first opened, which is not unpleasant and the smell dissipates quickly. I've worked with a variety of desiccant media over the years. Graphite pencils, both black and tinted charcoal and pastels (all Derwent). I've always used quality paper from Canson, Strathmore, and other brands that are designed for use with specific media. Carbon paper, pastel paper, marker/pencil paper and general purpose multimedia paper. Given the high cost of both products, it made no sense for me to skimp on erasers.
