This small part is essential when you are replacing the power steering pump. Without that little o-ring, the tank will leak and you'll be in trouble. Ring 0 is difficult to push into the tank, so be sure to use plenty of force when connecting them together. Then, preferably outside the vehicle, install the pump and reservoir assembly. it will be much easier.

I was warned not to buy a URO brand o-ring for this application but mine installed easily and is still not leaking. EDIT - Rating lowered from five to one star. After replacing this o ring it still leaks after a few weeks of course it's a good try but don't waste your time . The steering pump only holds the fluid with an o-ring, it's not possible to seal it completely, even if the dealer replaces the original o-ring it will still leak, maybe it just stays longer, so I do it, I do go to walmart buys a manufacturer of resistance motor oil seals.
