For a basic USB extension cable, this product is full of flaws. The female end is physically too small to insert a USB stick, you have to squeeze it so hard you think it's going to break. Even after restarting the head unit system, this memory was not mounted automatically (other cables are mounted), which tells me that this does not meet the specifications of the best cables. Will be returning this item.

I used this to install extra charging ports in my truck. The build quality is very good, the cables are solid and the plugs and sockets are pleasant to the touch. Installation was as simple as cutting a square hole to match the extension and then sliding it in. The outer frame gives the connectors a nice finished look. After installation I checked the connection and the voltage and current readings showed good connections.

I installed this dual USB connector directly to a Kenwood DDX9906XR by a professional. It replaced the single Aux-In USB port that my 2019 Camry Hybrid LE had with this one and the shroud looked like it came from the factory, even the hard cover covered that port. My car now has Android Auto and Apple CarPlay wireless and screen mirroring, so technically I don't have to use these ports often, but they're there when I need them.

This part works correctly as advertised but will take some time to fit. The thickness of the board you mount it on makes the part more or less correct. Hole Size This obviously affects the fit, but I ended up using super glue to hold it in place. Silicone RV glue would have been better, but I had to install the radio that same day. There should be a link to a template for the correct hole size cut. The calipers worked, but drawing a cutout hole on an oddly shaped panel can be challenging.

I replaced the stock head unit on a Ford e350 '12 van. The new head unit supports 2 USB ports, one of which is Android Auto/Apple Carplay. An extension is required to use ports. The dash is huge (it has 3 lighters) with enough room to drill a hole and snap it in. I had to replace the clips holding it in place because the dashboard plastic was too thick. It fits, a little crooked, but that's my bad (first) handwork. I love this thing, it makes it easy to add USB ports to the dashboard.

Thing looks great in my car. I installed it in an empty spot next to the cigarette lighter and hooked up a second cigarette lighter socket hidden behind the dash with a dual USB charger it plugs into.
