I thought all foam brushes were the same. Not so. The plastic pad under the foam rubber of these brushes is very flimsy. It's hard to explain, but part of the brush bent almost 90 degrees when I applied the finish. So I didn't comb it so much, but smeared and smeared it. I used these brushes to apply oil based polyurethane and the foam started breaking after about 5 minutes of work leaving pieces of foam on my project. But due to manufacturers' constant desire to do more with less, they made the grip thinner. It used to be a decent size and fit my fingers well, but now it's like drawing with a pencil.
