Description of πŸ”₯ US Forge Welding Flux Cored 00062: High-Quality Flux Cored Wire for Optimal Welding Results

Excellent for use with small constant current wire feeders which are lightweight. Fabrication and repair of lightweight structural steel, trailers, tanks, hoppers and machinery parts. Excellent for use on fillet and lap welds on thin gauge steel where burn through is a problem with other wires and electrodes. Ideal to use in drafty or windy conditions where gas shielded wires cannot be used.

Great product: Welding and Soldering

I really like this welding wire, it fits my welding machine and works perfectly. It's great to see Amazon offering these types of products.

Pros
  • Excellent for small and light DC wire feeder
Cons
  • New competition arrived

Buyer warning! Update

Ordered .030 and received item marked .030 Will not fit through Hobart .030 contact tips. Seems closer to 0.035 than 0.030. No 0.035 tips available to test. So much to save! Update: The .030 contact tips I had on hand were Hobart #770176. Apparently Hobart made another .030 bar #770177 that this wire will run through. Use this advice; I would give the item 4 stars.

Pros
  • Fabrication and repair of light structural steel, trailers, tanks, containers and machine parts
Cons
  • No instructions

Junk Wire!: Welding and Soldering

This wire sucks! indicates bad or incorrect alloy in the wire. Every few inches there are flats and bends on the wire that jam the tip, not to mention even having .035 installed! I've been a professional welder for 36 years and bought a spool of wire at my local hardware store because I was needed for a home project on a Sunday. Don't waste your time and money with that crappy cable, avoid a very frustrating day of cables getting stuck and having to constantly tweak the machine. Buy name brand…

Pros
  • Ideal for fillet and lap welds on thin sheet steel where burn through is a problem with other wires and electrodes
Cons
  • Out of fashion
