If you need high accuracy and plan to use it daily, then Rotatrim is a much better brand, but it's a lot more expensive. I'm a watercolor painter and I buy 300 lb sheets of 20" x 30" paper that I cut to 8x10, 5x7, and 4x6. Vinyl cutters can't hold these paper sizes, and I had to measure, cut and do the initial cuts by hand to get a sheet that would fit the vinyl cutter. This cutter handles large and thick sheets with ease. The blade is very sharp and makes clean cuts every time. As I catalog old newspapers I needed a larger cutter for trimming pages, articles etc. This cutter was packaged reasonably well with extra blade, tools, parts (bolt, nut, hex bolt and washer ) and instructions. The cutter was assembled and ready to use. I also have 2 "things" that attach magnetically to the cutting board, but their purpose isn't described or even shown in the instructions.
