Excellent reception Works very well through building walls and at a distance. Easy to use for my four year old grandson.

After an hour of use, one of the walkie-talkies got so hot it looked like a hot frying pan and it also smelled like burnt wire. I'm glad my kids didn't answer the phone.

Gifted to grandchildren today. The batteries got so hot Dad thought they were going to explode. I put new batteries in and the same thing. It also received many good reviews. I feel terrible that the children could get hurt. I am going to send them back and hope I can find a better and safer set.

My kids love it. Voice activation is perfect for them as they are very valuable units with quick reactions. You can talk - walk back and forth while communicating. Has a built-in flash for use in dark places, perfect for camping. Bonus binoculars supplement the offer in most cases

*Review fixed* The seller was quick to contact me, refunded my original payment and shipped a replacement. Very good customer service. Have upped the rating to three stars and will change again as my second set performs better over time. When we first changed the batteries (it was the second time we've used it), one of the walkie-talkies overheated enough to smell plastic. Really poor quality and not safe for little hands. Excellent children's radios at reasonable prices! Unfortunately not properly designed, there is a risk of burns! The problem is that the contact spring on the positive side of the battery doesn't line up with the pad on the circuit board. After a few falls from children, the spring rubbed on the insulation near the contact pad and connected the battery positive terminal directly to the battery negative terminal.
