Works perfectly! for computers and accessories

so my ethernet port died on my mac. I found this article and decided to give it a try. I need a stable wired connection for my work (they ask for it). That was great. Faster download speed and stable so far. I'm glad I found such a cheap solution. Better than fixing my Mac.

Gets warm/hot. Interferes with Logitech mouse receiver

Gets warmer than you would expect from this type of device. Also, this is a strange problem. it interferes with the Logitech mouse/keyboard receiver. Moving the Logitech receiver off the cable to the other side of my laptop makes a difference. The USB 3.0 to Ethernet adapter seems to fix the problem.

Works great on a MacBook Air with El Capitan

I installed the driver from the link in the user guide, restarted and the connection listed under Network in System Preferences as expected. I was glad the driver worked without having to disable "System Integrity Protection" (SIP) in recovery mode with "csrutil disable" as some other adapters require. Backing up to my Time Capsule is now MUCH faster than over Wi-Fi. Well!

Easy to use, works amazing!

If you're like me and don't have a laptop that allows you to directly plug in an ethernet cable, I highly recommend this product. The product is exactly as described! It's so easy to use; simply plugs directly into a USB 3.0 port on your laptop and connects fairly quickly after that. It's lightweight so you don't feel like you're lugging around a large chunk of plastic dangling from your laptop. This is amazing for those looking for a more reliable internet connection!

Significantly improved boot speed of my MacBook Air after installing the driver

Preview. I was having trouble with download speeds from Wi-Fi, and since my MacBook Air doesn't have an Ethernet port, I decided to give this device a try. This requires a download from the Cable Matters website, but everything went smoothly and the device turned green. I turned off Wi-Fi Air and download speeds immediately increased to 3x what I had previously experienced. I will update later if I run into any issues but this product works as described.

Works flawlessly on Lenovo G585 laptop.

Bought for use with a Lenovo G585 laptop with Win 8.0 that came with only 10/100 wired connection and wifi which I don't use. No problems from the start. It has been in use for a few months now and works on both my home/office LAN and my office LAN. Gigabit makes a huge difference when transferring gigabyte files, which I deal with quite often. It also works well when connected to a Cable Matters 7-port USB3 hub, since the laptop only has 2 USB3 ports. The other is for a 4-port USB2 hub thatโ€ฆ

Excellent. No problem. Minor issues installing drivers on my Mac

As I have a Retina Mac, I don't have a CD drive. I had to download the software from somewhere else and transfer it to my device via USB and then it worked. The strange thing is that we use this product when we don't have access to Wi-Fi, but to install the software it is necessary to download it onto a USB drive using another device and then install the drivers. Driver installation is also not a simple drag and drop into the application catalog. One star deducted for this reason. Otherwise, aโ€ฆ
