I bought these to hang a garland but the hooks barely flex and come out almost straight and won't stay on my garlands they hang in place. They are very hard metal so they can't be bent, I've tried a hammer and pliers but the hooks won't bend, just not suitable for a garland or other item that sticks out a little from the wall.

Well I haven't tried them yet. First I wanted to make sure they didn't peel the paint off the wall. I put one in my closet to hide the color in case it showed up and left it for a few days to test. A few days later I took my heat gun and used it to heat the glue. IT WAS CLEAN! No paint was removed and you can't even tell it was there. The photo shows the back of the hook after I took it off. I liked the transparent profile. However, it has visible texture. The product makes a robust and well-made impression. Distance is what lowers my rating. I was going to have one removed so I could place it somewhere else and it took some of the paint and drywall off my wall! That's not normal. I followed the instructions and given what happened I will not reposition the others.
