This is the best product I have ever worked with. I wish I had found it before I was halfway done. For those who complain that it's not sticky enough, try putting it in the sun for a while and then applying it.

For the price, the 80 mil 25 square foot Uxcell car muffler is a good deal. The panels are very heavy and come with a backing paper which needs to be peeled off before sticking to a cleaned metal surface. As others have said, other brands offer better adhesion. My caliper battery died, so I couldn't test the claimed 80 mil thickness.

This is a must have if you are replacing car panels or want to soundproof a car or truck. The butyl material has a sticky base that makes it easy to apply. The rollers are a great help to shape it in hard to reach places and make it look like a factory. The foil backing is heat resistant so it's safe under the hood or on the fire wall. If you have a body panel to mount an oil can on, simply cover it with a wide chunk of this wonderful material and in most cases that will solve the problem.

Installed near the front wheel arches and firewall they helped with road noise from my Saturn's loud 4 cylinder engine. They are quite heavy and sticky and are suitable for sloping or load-bearing places. Ideally, if you keep the sheets in squares and can fit them to the corners, this would be your best bet to save on supplies. All in all, it's quite a bit of work to install and get right, but they'll make significantly less road noise. Worth it if you drive a lot on the Autobahn.

Initial review August 20, 2021 I installed this on the hood of my boat. I started by skimming the 10 year old egg crate scum that was deteriorating. I cleaned the surface to allow this material to stick. I then applied this sound deadening material with a roller to make sure it adhered well to the engine cover. Like most soundproofing materials used in the past, this material is HEAVY for what it is. Most of them just have a shiny aluminum finish but this one has a nice smooth black aluminum finish that I really like. It's not that noticeable unless it's in an inconspicuous spot. It has great grip on the panels I've used it on and has done a pretty good job of making my panels more durable and fixing the rattling I was having with my system. This material works well and is easy to install. The protective film peels off the adhesive layer very easily and the adhesive adheres immediately to the metal and plastic surfaces of my car interior. I installed it in my trunk, center console and rear doors to try and turn down the volume of the new turbo exhaust, which was louder than I wanted.
