🚪 Door Bottom Sweep - Silver Aluminum Alloy with 1.4-inch Black PP Silicone Soft Brush - 39-inch x 2.3-inch Review

For this price I expected better quality. First off, the bristles don't feel like soft silicone (the main reason I bought this product!) but more like regular hard nylon. Consequently they make a lot of noise when they touch the carpet (real silicone would be much quieter). Second, there were gaps in the bristles - I wonder why they sent an obviously faulty product in the first place. Finally, the bristle insert does not snap into the aluminum slot and slides in and out too easily.

Looks good and really removes dirt when the door is closed. The reason I gave it 4 stars was because after cutting and applying the bristles started falling out in huge clumps! So I had plastic bristles all over the floor, which is not eco-friendly and bad for the floor. I was able to clean up the mess and fix the door brush by applying clear caulk to the end of the door brush where the bristles came out.

This is to prevent leaves from blowing under my screen door. Unfortunately my door is an unusual size so I had to buy a bigger one and cut it to size which wasn't easy. Measure your door and if you can't find the right size door be aware that trimming the bristles will be tricky as they are not individually secured in the channel! If you cut it they will fall out unless you crimp them or use some sort of sealant to hold them in place. But after installation - works great!
