This product

I paid more for this item to get a built in fuse as shown in the picture, now I have to buy it because I know better than to plug it in without a fuse as Darrell wrote. Haven't had time to install it yet to see if it works well.

Pros
  • does not have a built-in fuse. Just unbelievable!
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Fuse on 48V side

Added lights to my 2014 EZ GO TXT 48 volt. This was the second step down I ordered, the first one (from a different supplier) wasn't marked "in/out" so I hooked it up the wrong way and fried straight away. this one is marked. The fuse is at the input (48 volts), not at the output. Works great, shines bright and works perfectly

Pros
  • Hands-free mode
Cons
  • The list is getting long.

This voltage reducer works great. But a word of caution

This voltage reducer works great. A word of caution though. It must be connected correctly or it will explode. Don't ask how I know that. But I have an offer to help. Before connecting, connect the built-in fuse. That way if you get it wrong the fuse will blow and not destroy your regulator. I used a 15 amp fuse and it worked great. Hope this helps someone as dumb as me.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
