I was very happy to use this product but when I received it I was incredibly disappointed. It just doesn't work. The graters are too big for the plastic they sit on. If you try to rotate them, they will get stuck in the plastic, scratching the plastic and not rotating properly. helpful and fast but unfortunately this one arrived with the same problem. It's literally unusable, the blades are too big and it doesn't spin.

I've had several graters in the past and they all had problems with them. either they didn't "stick" to the countertop or the handles broke. they were difficult to clean. IT has NONE of these problems. I've used it to grate hard and medium-hard cheeses, easy-to-slice potatoes, and grated almonds. He thinks he makes everything easy. I bought this primarily for grating cheese and my first experience of grating parmesan and romano gave me what I was expecting, shredded cheese, not what I was hoping for, shredded cheese. This was a replacement grater after my last manual plastic grater broke into pieces. It feels very solid when assembled and attached to the countertop. I was able to quickly grate an entire block of cheese after dicing it on the countertop. The long crank allows more torque to be applied and makes slicing/cutting easier.
