This saved me hundreds of dollars.

Not only can this drain plug be used to drain transmission fluid, it has allowed me to fill a transmission/transfer case service nightmare - the factory fill plug is very difficult to access and IMPOSSIBLE to remove. This small investment saved me time and money.

Great design with total security!

Perfect match for my Volvo XC60. I bought another type of valved drain plug but it didn't fit because there wasn't enough space. This way worked great. It was as easy as putting the drain plug back on. Robust construction with redundant leak protection. It also comes with a Crush Washer so it's a good product by all accounts.

Great item but don't lose the hose. You will not get more

Update: More ordered. The clear hose was leaking from the top. Came back. i love the part Unfortunately, one piece in my truck is in Maryland and the other is in Phoenix. I called the company to ask if they would sell me the second part. There is no joy. Wouldn't sell it and wouldn't be too happy.

Makes life easier but hands are still oily

It works as intended and really makes things easier, but my idea was that I could change the oil and keep my hands clean without gloves or Vaseline or so. That didn't happen. I think future builds could achieve what I was hoping for if they could have some sort of grommet covering the drain tube that you could pull back on when draining the oil and then tighten the tube and close it for storage. In this form I keep it in a ZipLock bag and the oil gets on it and then on my hands. Still worth…

Worked great, easy to install.

I just installed this on my Volvo XC70, comes with washer so no problem. It has a spring loaded ball bearing to keep the oil in the sump and a screw cap with a pre-installed o-ring as a secondary layer of protection against leakage. However, make sure to place the drain hose plug in a safe place! They only contain one, which is awful for someone like me who tends to lose everything in my garage/shop at a record rate.
