Very often you get a new good "fast" USB stick and you move a large file onto it and it writes at lightning speed. About 30 seconds and then scans the rest of the way. Not this one! Always writes at full speed. I already had one, it's so good I bought another one that I don't even need but I think when I need it it won't be available.

So it never occurred to me to buy branded sticks, especially when there's a chance of data loss, but this stick turned out to be very useful money. I regularly move 100GB files to multiple computers and this flash drive performs as advertised, peaking at 350MB/s. My only issue is that the outer casing is all metal, so this thing gets really hot when transferring files for long periods of time.

I bought several of these after reading good reviews, three for 128GB and two flavors for 256GB. What is shown in the picture happens for all the discs I have. The first 1/4 of the disk (32 or 64 GB) is very fast, 300 Mb / s, after filling this chip, the speed drops to 150 Mb / s, the remaining half of the disk is about 90 Mb / s. Basically say you buy a really fast 32GB flash drive with legacy storage stacked on top. I sent them all back because I don't like stealth.

I was trying to copy 90 gigabyte MP3 files onto this disc because I wanted a portable device for my music files. I can't even complete 5 percent of the copy without errors. I've tried copying from this device and I'm getting the same errors. All of my slower proprietary drives work fine. I think I'll go back and grab another Sandisk drive. It's worth the extra money when it comes to reliability. Don't let the high number of positive reviews fool you. This disc is garbage. I find it very strange

The first block was bent (dented) so much near the USB-C end that it was very difficult to press the circular select button in the middle. Just wanted to add and say it's really really fast! On my PC it shows up as a drive from JMicron, a company known for making fast memory controllers. I tested it by copying a 42GB file from an old computer with a third party USB 3.0 (no native support for the main chipset) and it recorded a consistent 145MB/s. USB A does not work at all. USBC works fine. This is quite unacceptable as many systems don't have USBC. Updated my rating. to 1. More than a month is still strong. I really wanted to give this product 5 stars. The performance is superb and far exceeds that of a regular old USB drive due to the nature of the SSD. I can regularly hit 180MB/s for large file transfers, while most regular USB3 flash drives will struggle to hit 40MB/s. You can't find a faster USB drive in the $20/128GB price range.
