The Vantrue SD card, and screen get extremely HOT🔥. After 2 minutes the excessive heat shuts the camera off. It also takes a considerable amount of time to power up the unit, per instructions. Due to the excessive heat generated, this product has the potential for an electrical fire if left unattended during intended use. The mounting base is NOT adjustable which creates a difficult angle for screen viewing depending on the windshield of your vehicle. The cameras do adjust, but only…

Excellent dash cam with fantastic features

I really like this dash cam. It has three cameras, front (A), interior cabin (B) and rear facing (C). All three produce high quality full HD videos and the sound quality is excellent. The main camera is mounted on the windshield by first placing a piece of electrostatic sticker on the windshield and then a small piece of 3M double sided tape on the camera. When I first attached the camera it wasn’t in the right place so I had to move it. I was afraid the sticker wouldn’t work again but it stuck

The purchase:I purchased this dashcam as a replacement for another Vantrue product I have owned for years. I previously had the N2 model which I picked because of the capacitor battery and motion sensing parking mode. NEVER BUY THIS - if one is staying in places that reach more than 90F temperature

Vanture produces real good dashcams - but this one is a huge blunder in QUALITY, particularly it's ability to sustain in temperatures beyond 88F. Yes, i had practically tested and proved this, as I even got a replacement for this same and that too ended up having the same issues, whenever the weather went >88F. Three Channel Dashcam

The Vantrue S2 was easy to install and the cables were easy to hide along the interior of the car for both the power cable and the rear camera cable. I found that the double sided tape pads were adequate to secure the cameras to the glass and there were two extra pads in the box is I needed to remove the camera at any time. My 3rd Dashcam is a winner

Finally, the Vantrue S2 is the winner! I initially purchased the COOAU 1080P but the parking mode did not detect motion in detected movement of the camera ie collision or accident. I then bought the Vantrue N4 it would constantly turn off and on while driving or in park mode and you had to access the app in order operate the camera or press some buttons underneath the camera and it would overheat.
