Lifelong Convert - Skateboarding

I've never used duct tape, but I've always had trouble grabbing sticks. However, not from sweat, but from dry hands. The sticks slipped and flew from his hands. No longer. I will never play without these things again. Perfect. Feels smooth but offers the necessary support. It changes the balance point a bit, so you have to adjust to that. But it's worth it.

Excellent tape, hands are not torn

I love this tape! It doesn't tear my hands like some sticky coatings on sticks. It's easy to wrap and reuse, and the ribbon is enough for 4 sticks. I have a couple of Front Balance Promark sticks which I find help to cut in and get more attack from my drums. But this makes it much easier to loosen your grip and let the stick fly away. Father Griptape prevents this and works for me.

  • grip tape
Cons
  • communication with seller

It's hard to start, but it works in the end.

The grip tape comes in strips wrapped with small pieces of end tape to prevent the grip tape from unraveling. The tape itself is difficult to separate from the clear plastic backing and the final tape is difficult to begin with as it consists of three pieces of backing. It works in the end, but it's hard to start if you have clumsy fingers like mine. I had to use tweezers to sand down the plastic cover to snag on something to get it out. If you have a better method, I'd love to hear it.

Currently my favorite griptape is

I decided to give Father Griptape a try when I ordered some Father Drumsticks a few months ago and I am very happy with my decision. I love that when buying packs there is enough tape for two pairs of sticks. This was not the case with the previously used ahead capture tape. At Ahead, it was more than half the price of the Vater brand for just one set of griptape. The Vater grip tape feels great and the tape is more than long enough to cover more than half of the stick. If that's what you want…

Sticks PUT where they belong!

This was the first time I've used Father GRIP Tape, but it won't be the last. Follow the instructions and take your time installing the tape. If you make a mistake, just unzip and reinstall. Easy, really! In action, this thing rocks. It's comfortable and the sticks just won't slip out of your hands when you lower your grip to enhance the stick's "action", when the dynamics of the music call for a lighter touch, or when you're playing very hard/loud. I bought several pairs of the same lighter…
