I like the function of this drawer because it allows you to easily remove dirt without removing the lid, but I wish the drawer was higher or there was fewer gaps for dirt to pass through. My cat loves digging in the litter box so the litter seeps through the cracks in the box and onto the floor under the litter box, which isn't a big deal if you have a litter box underneath, but it can still build up. I was skeptical at first because I didn't think my cat would use the new type of litter box. First she used it once and then didn't come back, I think she was afraid of getting stuck as the door only opens one way and they have to go upstairs. Then my daughter decided to put the cat in the tray and show her how to get out of there, she did this 3 or 4 times in a row and that was it, now this is her main tray. It does not get dirty, is easy to clean and has no unpleasant odor. Highly recommended
