I wanted to make a sheath for my knife because the original fell apart and you can't buy a replacement for it. This is a good strong thick leather. I made the scabbard with rivets and they are very strong!

Exactly what I wanted for making knife sheaths. Now I will make 2 holsters. High quality leather, uniform thickness and good finish. Rub 2 layers of mink oil on the finished side.

I cut out two 12 x 2 1/2 strips to make a knife sharpening lanyard. one side smooth, one side suede. The piece I received was a very consistent thickness with no blemishes, although I don't think it would make all that much of a difference for my use. Very happy with the purchase. I live in Florida so we drove 3 days but the result is excellent.

Actually the quality is much better than I expected. As a 17 year old on a budget, I bought this to use primarily for protection in my vise (it's nice to have some padding when clamping fragile items tightly) but actually found it to be of high enough quality to be covered with leather work. . I work with leather and enjoy it, but I tend to buy it in bulk at a higher price from better known and more reliable suppliers, and of course I was skeptical, but it's definitely quality enough to be used
