Velbon QB 4LC Quick Release Platform Review

I bought a used tripod that doesn't have the adapter needed to mount a camera or binoculars. This one fits perfectly and works as it should.

Well I bought a used Velbon tripod and it doesn't have a mounting plate. This replacement is perfect for a tripod. At first glance there may be sharp edges, but in use everything changes. I think this is a great purchase. Thank you!

I have a nice ambico tripod without a plate. Base measured and found. I rolled and ordered. It was as described and measured correctly. Two plus points for the price and the quality. Works as it should and serves its purpose

I bought a Velbon 5000 tripod cheaply from Goodwill but it didn't have a mount. After some searching, I decided that this was probably the right mount for him. I was right. It fits perfectly. This is a good solid tripod so it was worth buying this mounting plate for.

We recently pulled out an old tripod and found that the quick release plate is missing making it impossible to attach the camera without it. I went online to find another one and read that many universal plates are not suitable for people. I'm very glad we were able to find our exact plate and I don't have to worry about it not fitting our tripod, although it's a little tighter than I remember. But it works great and I don't have to part with a great tripod.

I was looking at the different release platforms listed and wasn't sure which to choose and I read a review from another customer and he said this platform was perfect for his Velbon 5000- Tripod was just the thing I had and it helped me make my choice and I want to thank this customer for such a detailed review otherwise I might have chosen the wrong one and this one is perfect and I am so grateful for this honest review

I bought this for a Velbon 5000 tripod which was given to me without a quick release plate. When the part arrived I checked the quick release plate and found it to be in excellent condition. The only minor annoyance would be having to carry around a flathead screwdriver to move the plate between my three cameras until I order two more plates (a thumbscrew would have been a better choice for the application.)
