Although advertised as 8" they were all 6" too small to be used for medium sized cables. The shape of the ties was different from the picture, they were cut accurately. It's most likely a fake unless the Velcro company has run out of quality control.

I needed mainly velcro tape at least 8 cm long. This product was listed as 8" x 1/2" Thin Wrap Ties. When I opened the package I thought they looked too short. As you can see from the photo, they are less than 6 inches long. This product is unusable for my purposes and will be returned.

I'm a network engineer and I think I'm just spoiled by the thick and fluffy velcro we get at work. These ties work great but they are paper thin and feel like I could rip them in half. I think they will work in a "set it and forget it" situation, but I wouldn't trust them to be used multiple times. If you're the kind of person who changes their wiring frequently, I'd look for something more reliable. If you're just cleaning up and plan on leaving it alone, this will likely work for you.

After a long search for the 'perfect' straps, here they are. I've tried every other brand including those that claim to be thin and flexible. I regularly buy Velcro One Wrap Brand at major stores in packs of five for $0.70 per tie or $3.50 per pack. When I saw the same brand at Revain for $0.08 a tie, I was a happy mechanic. Honestly. and excellent brand, I expected much higher quality. The material these ties are made of is EXTREMELY thin! So thin it's easy to tear them in half even if you try to separate them from their closed coil. They work? Yes, they hold the cables together. The question that worries me is "how long?" This is a great product. Unless you've sworn to turn off power and telecoms, you most likely have wires/wires to contend with. Nothing is more annoying than when they are dirty and in some cases can become a tripping hazard.
