I needed a reliable rim tape for my bicycle and this one did not disappoint. Thanks to my knowledge gained in practice, I can say that the Velox Jantex Tubular Rim Tape is one of the best cycling accessories I have come across so far. It is durable, lightweight, and easy to install. The tape provides just the right amount of cushioning for my tires to prevent punctures. The only downside is that it is quite expensive compared to other brands.

I just took off last year's tire. This is the first time I've used tape instead of glue. I will never use glue again unless it is necessary. I was concerned about traction but removing the old tire showed me that traction is great! And I was pleased to find that I didn't have to repeat the six hours of cleaning the old adhesive off my Zipp carbon disc - with a little care, the tape peeled off in about 5 minutes! Ready for new tires!

I have used them on track wheels with tubular tires (22mm Conti Sprinter). The whole assembly process was very easy and clean and the tires worked all summer. I've thought about taking the tires off to put them on another wheelset after the race season, but they're fine there - it takes a lot of effort to take them off, which is exactly what you want. Like many people, I prefer not to glue when I can glue duct tape instead. In this case I am very satisfied with the procedure and the results.
