Works as advertised!

This device allowed me to use an old pair of headphones with two 3.5mm TRS mic and headphone jacks and plug them into my computer's USB port. I connected the headset to this adapter and plugged the cable into the USB port. Very easy. It worked flawlessly on my Windows 10 PC with no further configuration changes and I'm thrilled to be able to use my favorite headset again!

it does not work. - Computers and accessories

didn't work. Maybe just wrong. It wasn't a solid connection either when I plugged it in. I could see it getting weaker. sent back. I also got one made by another company that works great that I left behind. This one had a stronger connection - it fit more securely into the plug.

Working, mono input only

Despite what the seller says to the contrary in the answer to the question, this unit only has a mono (single channel) input. Also, it works great, plug and play, no driver installation required on Windows or Linux.

Not quiet, but good enough!

I bought this because my work laptop has a terrible very very loud sound. This solved the problem, but there is still some digital audio noise. You need to turn off 50% of the microphone in Windows settings or people will hear a constant high-pitched beep from you in meetings. With a normal line out it's pretty quiet, not exactly quiet but good enough. Great for the price.

Fixing the sound problem on my all-in-one computer

My sound chip on my all-in-one computer is broken. Instead of opening it up and trying to see if I can find the problem. I thought maybe I could use an external one and work around the problem. It worked great and I have sound again. No questions.

Write amplification too high

I've tried it on both Linux and Mac. On both, I had to turn the mic volume down to the absolute minimum to get an audible recording, and even then it sounded like the mic was about to explode. I researched for a few days before I just gave up and bought a new USB device (from Creative). It works fantastic. So don't buy these.

Worked great with external sound cards

My 3.5mm I/Os were degrading. The sound worked fine, but the back motherboard connection and front panel didn't work properly. All Discord calls had poor microphone input, to the point where friends didn't want to hear it. This solved the problem immediately. Mic quality was as clear as ever.

My problems solved!

Vention's sound card was affordable and works great. I needed a way to get my MacBook Pro to recognize the mic input of an 8-channel mixer and output it to the speakers. This allows us to place the church sanctuary in zoom with great sound. We've also used it with a laptop, so we know it's good there too.

It also works with games, videos and zoom!

If you have the same situation as me. Where your headphone jack is practically "raised" or messed up. Then it is important to find an alternative to listening to lectures or videos with headphones. I got them out of curiosity to see if they would support scaling lectures and videos. For the first part if worked for video and a review said this device does not work with zoom. I found this wrong as they miraculously worked for me during my Zoom talks. It all depends on the right sound. If you can
