I needed it once and it worked

It's designed for a vise, but I was able to cut aluminum tubing with a hacksaw by clamping it to my knees. The cut is smoother than expected.

Pros
  • Inspires confidence
Cons
  • Useless features

perfect fit for my steerer tube

This is my first time using one of these and I wish I had bought it a long time ago. For $, a very valuable and useful tool. I really liked the vise mount and it held my fork very securely.

Pros
  • delivery was very fast
Cons
  • piggy bank price

Got the job done with bike tools and maintenance

Product arrived quickly and worked as intended allowing me to cut the steerer tube clean on my fork. Not something I'll be using every day, but should last for many years and make a nice addition to my toolbox.

Pros
  • Cool product
Cons
  • Only available in black

Good product for sports

Well made product and economical alternative to other brands. Good for cutting bike head tube. The tool itself doesn't have much anchoring, but combined with the appropriate saw/blade roughness, it doesn't require much anchoring.

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Not all suitable

It's ok at best! good for cycling

It was easy to use but the slot you put the saw blade in wasn't wide enough to fit a hacksaw blade. I had to loosen the guide to accommodate the thickness of the blade, resulting in a slightly lopsided cut. It was useful but needs some tweaking.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Almost everything ok

Great and cheaper alternative to Park Tool guide

Bought to cut a new fork tube and it worked great. Simply snaps on and stays firmly in place. The gap for the hacksaw blade is good and tight, resulting in a very clean and straight cut. While you would ideally clamp this in a vise, I had no problem using them without them. I just secured both ends of the fork almost completely and then eased pressure on the steerer tube towards the end of the cut to prevent pinching. Overall a great product, especially considering it's almost half the price of

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Had problems

I used this guide saw and a regular hacksaw to cut two carbon rods and created flat cuts for both. Details: I used a standard hacksaw (with a fine notched blade). I screwed in the "locking wedge" and the guide stayed in place while I let the hacksaw blade do its work (in other words, I wasn't pretending to cut wood and pull on the blade). After cutting, I smoothed the top of the stem *neatly* with a file to remove rough edges (careful - don't rub the carbon fiber layers too hard - they will…

Pros
  • Great construction
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging
