Cute cactus scratcher for small to medium sized cats

Beautiful and well made. The base is pretty solid and even when my 7 lb cat jumps on it it doesn't wobble. She loves to scratch and climb on it but my big nut who weighs about 20 pounds won't use it. Once I tried to put him on it but I think he felt too small for him so he got up straight away. Overall I would say this is a good choice for those with small to medium sized cats who want to add a fun and cute colorful scratching post to their space.

Pros
  • Ideal for a small home
Cons
  • Without machine

As shown in photo/description

Before doing research I assumed this cactus was about 5ft tall. I have read the reviews and they are correct - they are not! my cat is big Not fat, just big. He happily dips his claws into him and he's quite persistent. Job done, 5 stars. However, if this guy was a foot taller, I think my precious big-boned kitty would have liked him more. However, if you're one of those people who has cat toys all over the house, at least that's cute enough to shut up your mother-in-law. - Zaglich Kitty's…

It is perfectly normal to have a cactus-shaped scratching post.

That's what my partner says every time he sees it in our living room. It was one of my "sorry no permission" purchases. We needed a new cat scratching post and as much as we both love the look of it, scratching posts are a necessary evil when you have cats and appreciate having furniture in your home. It's a good size and strong enough that my chubby turtle can't tip it over when dangling from it and actually adds a whimsical decorative touch to our living room. Even my partner liked it and put

The perfect CAT-CUS scraper!

Well the size and build are solid! The only thing I have is a tiny piece has broken off the bottom of the tube that attaches to the base. This made the installation a bit difficult. I suppose I could have replaced it with another one, but it didn't really affect the function of the tree. I'm deducting a star for that and the delay. I suspect the one month delay was out of the seller's control. For anyone complaining about the poor workmanship of the chain, my rope seems to be very secure and…

super durable! - Cats

The look of the cactus alone was worth the money and as far as actual use as a scratching post goes, my 1.5 year old cat loves it. My 3.5 year old doesn't want anything to do with this but I expected that as he's not a fan of the new things I'm bringing into my house. Maybe he'll get used to it over time. It is made of high quality sisal and is very durable. My 1.5 year old looks like a spider monkey and is very active. She hadn't even come close to knocking him over. Exact Measurements: 42.5…

Okay, but for $150 buyers have a guilty conscience.

Probably more than $80-100. It looks very nice from a distance: bright green, beautiful shape. The internal structure is very strong and very durable. The base is wide and the PVC pipe it's made of holds up pretty well. The reason I say it's not worth the $150 I paid is that the jute (or whatever material) started falling apart pretty quickly. The jute is loose where the arms meet the body. It only took a few weeks to tug at it (it's a scratching post) and individual strands started to come…
