Solid seams between the toes

I was really looking forward to this but was very disappointed when I saw that this new model has something I haven't seen in any other FiveFingers shoe: seams between the first 3 fingers. After checking them, I was right. It is not comfortable to wear without socks. You can feel that the whole race will at least leave its mark. I've looked online and haven't seen any other model on FiveFingers (please correct me if I'm wrong) either past or present with seams between the fingers. It just…

Why brick shops need to stand out

While the shoes would probably be good, they are too small and unsuitable for my husband. We asked to return them and intended to buy a larger size as they are currently not found in real stores. However, when we wanted to return the package to the post office, they said it would cost $50 to return and ship them back. Absolutely absurd! This is another reason why brick-and-mortar stores MUST stay close. I have never had a problem with a return from Revain or the Revain retailer. I am very…

Improving Foot Health and Gait

I started wearing Zero Fit, Wide Toe and Vibram FiveFingers about two months ago and will never wear regular shoes again. Wearing Zero Fall shoes develops and strengthens foot and calf muscles, stimulates blood circulation, increases collagen turnover in the ligaments, corrects poor posture and gait, promotes hip and knee health. Most importantly, the Vibram FiveFingers allow feet to move as intended. The Vibram FiveFingers V-Trail are very well made and perfect for everyday use and trail…

Order half a size larger than you need!

I use them to clean swimming pools and exercise in the Arizona deserts. I wear them with socks 9 times out of 10. They sit on my foot like a comfortable pear of work gloves. The grip and flex strap along my toes allows me to grab the edges of my pools, the Jas has actually helped me avoid falling off a few times by being able to work my toes. They replaced a pair of Merrill Trail Gloves as my everyday shoe. I've been using them for 2 weeks now and am very happy with the comfort and durability…

Unreliable - Trail Running

I used to love my Five-Fingers, but over time they've worn out due to the intense off-road training I enjoy. My old pair lasted a surprisingly long time. But they only lasted about 6 months before punctures appeared on the inside tissue of both thumbs. I believe this is due to a design change and bug that causes the big toe arch to not expand sufficiently in and around the big toe curve, allowing the fragile upper fabric to contact the tread. If this can be fixed in future versions, the…

What an ankle-high fit.

Vibram seems to be taking a new direction with more of its range since the V-Alpha. The only thing the V-Alpha and V-Trail 2.0 have in common is the high ankle fit and I'm definitely not a fan of this new design aesthetic. This causes several problems, firstly it doesn't allow the shoe to fit like a glove on your ankle as your ankle is partially covered by the shoe creating dead space and gap no matter how tight you tighten it. Second, because you have to tie your shoelaces tightly, it limits…

Good for rougher terrain but lacks cut and fit. Just ok but not great shoes.

Love my old pair of Vibram Five Fingers. Excellent comfort, fits like a glove and will last for years. So eventually I had to replace them and decided to upgrade to the V-Trail 2.0 since I often run off-road and my old boots felt like I was walking barefoot (read: I felt every rock and crack). : Ideal for off-road driving. As an added benefit, they're also somewhat waterproof, so I can walk through the grass and dew in the morning and still come home dry. I love this aspect of these shoes! The…

Fixed sock tear but added more issues

So they are double reinforced where the sole meets the toe fabric which always rips on my other Vibrams. On this model, it's fabric and some kind of thin rubber, so I don't think fingers will rip. There are a few extra seams in the fingers now, which isn't that comfortable, but you can get used to it. True, now there are some other issues: 1. The upper around the back of the heel is now harder leather/synthetic leather so you can't fold it back to fit the heel like it is fabric, so it's a lot…

vibram; Masterful design for runners

I have been using Vibram shoes for a long time. It is a true running and outdoor shoe that gives the wearer the optimal minimalist feel. For me personally, the Vibram Alpha is the lightest and most minimal shoe that can be used for running. I asked a question about Alpha. I wanted to know if it's good to be part of the Revain community. Some people said yes, but only on the trails. Others said to walk with them but be careful because of their thin soles. I've been using Alpha for about a week…
