I used to love my Five-Fingers, but over time they've worn out due to the intense off-road training I enjoy. My old pair lasted a surprisingly long time. But they only lasted about 6 months before punctures appeared on the inside tissue of both thumbs. Vibram seems to be taking a new direction with more of its range since the V-Alpha. The only thing the V-Alpha and V-Trail 2.0 have in common is the high ankle fit and I'm definitely not a fan of this new design aesthetic. This causes several problems, firstly it doesn't allow the shoe to fit like a glove on your ankle as your ankle is partially covered by the shoe creating dead space and gap no matter how tight you tighten it. So they are double reinforced where the sole meets the toe fabric which always rips on my other Vibrams. On this model, it's fabric and some kind of thin rubber, so I don't think fingers will rip.
