Pure tone: resonators

I agree with most of the other reviews, it almost completely removes wheezing, generally cleans the sound, like polishing. Excellent noise reduction in the cab. Slightly quiets the overall volume. Generally a solid resonator, I'll probably use it for a while and turn it off.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Almost everything is fine

Relieves exhaust systems and parts

Place this on your Wrangler JL just behind the front resonator. For my taste, the Flowmaster Delta Force 2 Cat Back got too much hum. Definitely got the whole drone out and toned it down a bit. Also, what I like most about the sound is that it has more bass! doesn't look like a rice cooker anymore. Now very happy with the system! I think I would put one of these in any rear axle system.

  • Nice to use

Rasp-B-Gone for Exhausts and Parts

Bought a Flowmaster X-Pipe with some rear axles on my 15 Mustang GT. The X replaced the stock resonator and still sounded loud as hell, and there was a lot of rumble on the highway in 6th. I cut 2 of these where the standard was and that solved all my problems. The roar is almost nonexistent, but more importantly, it cleaned up the exhaust noise and removed the rasp. The sound of the Flowmaster without any flaws, exactly what I wanted.

Pros
  • Great Price
Cons
  • Working Speed

Does the job for such a small resonator!

I gutted the rattle cats in my 2002 Audi S6, but the turbulence from the exhaust blasts was unbearable in the gutted cans. I put these Vibrant resonators in place of the Kats and now they are connected to the resonators, X-pipe and Apr mufflers with straight pipes. It deadened the sound a lot, got rid of that horrible noise from the mid pipe and it sounds great out of the mufflers. It has minimal hum and the design of these resonators is excellent.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
  • No

Cleans the rasp. Noisy. Sounds amazing!

I have a 2010 Volkswagen GTI. I have an aftermarket 3" CTS downpipe (catalytic converter removed). It wasn't as loud as I wanted so I replaced my original resonator with this bright 1792 and now it sounds good! Much more volume, a bit of droning, which doesn't bother me at all. I considered just removing the resonator, but it's a much tamer sound. He cleans the rasp. Honestly, it sounds almost as good as my $500 Magnaflow brethren.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Useless functions

Incredibly Good Best in Exhausts and Parts

For my application which is definitely NOT used on public roads and will never be used. N54 BMW, downpipes VSRF, subcats removed. Without those resonators it sounded absolutely awful from around 1500-2250 rpm. How the Honda Civic farts terribly. That part of the RPM range was so loud that I could hear that ugly noise while driving around the neighborhood. There was also some vibration around the B-pillars. BOTH those problems went away, he became fully civilized again. Still special sound andโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Consistent Test Results
Cons
  • Slightly Cracked

MK6 GTI Stock CB with Tune

Not for noise reduction. I did it to make more noise. Currently running Stage 2 with 3" tailpipe on stock rear exhaust. The original exhaust got a bit louder with tune and screws but still sounded limited, like a sock stuck up its ass. I wanted it a little livelier but not super loud without investing in a full exhaust. Replacing the stock resonator with a live one helped. When you step on the gas, it responds with a growl. The throttle cuts it off. At idle, it's quiet. It's quiet when cruising

Pros
  • Impressive
Cons
  • Vulgarity
