I bought this for my Sony TV to keep my old AV gear (Wii, camcorder, karaoke machine) and it works perfectly. The cable is very thin so I doubt how long it will last, but I rarely use it so I hope it will last for many years.

Buy this unit as it works great with my Sony - 65" Class X950H Series LED 4K UHD Working Smart Android TV Model: XBR65X950H - Connects my OLD DVD/VHS Combo Box to Sony without any lag - 65 inch Class X950H Series LED 4K UHD Smart Android TV Model: XBR65X950H. If you are looking for a dongle to connect your old audio/video device (DVR, VCR, etc.) to your new Sony BRAVIA Connecting TV A/V cable is the key you are looking for. For some reason, Sony has decided to use a unique configuration for its connector, so the standard dongles will not work on your new Sony TV. Yes, you can also get a key from Sony, but it's a lot more expensive. It works great with my XBR950H.

I have an old RCA only VCR. I've read in many places that Sony wires the 3.5mm jack differently than other manufacturers, and many people have had trouble getting plugged-in RCA cables to work. they had to swap colors etc. I'm happy to report that it worked on my Sony 65in Bravia with no problems. No color deviations. just plug it in and get started. Audio and video work perfectly with the DVD player. Very happy with this very economical mix.

As with other reviewers, my wires were miscolored; Red became red, but white and yellow had to be reversed. Once I figured out the correct order, I found my painting was still messed up until I played around with the placement and angle of the cords a bit more. The same goes for audio, as I had to further adjust the cables to avoid that annoying hum when switching to AV. So this product works (at least), but it's not that easy to just plug it in!

This is really the cable dongle I need for my new Sony XBR-49X800H TV! Was going to connect my VCR (yes I have some movies that aren't on DVD or Blu-ray) but the first TRRS-RCA cable I bought didn't connect properly. In addition, this dongle allowed me to use one of the composite audio/video cables I already had. And best of all, I didn't have to pay nearly $39 (excluding shipping) for a similar key from a Sony parts supplier! So, thank you!

This works but what I received had the wires discolored. After the initial install, all I got was a buzzing noise and no video. I disconnected all the cables and then connected my video out (yellow) to each separately until I got a picture with the white cable. I then connected my left audio output (white) to the remaining connectors until I got the right audio with the red wire. This left my Audio Right (red) output on the yellow wire. Now it works fine.
