Uses the original Apple USB-C Thunderbolt 3 cable to connect MacBook Air 2020 to the monitor. The laptop's display, audio, video and power supply work well. But after a while it suddenly stopped loading. Disconnecting and reconnecting the Thunderbolt 3 cable to the laptop is not sufficient. To recharge the laptop, the power supply to the monitor must be disconnected and reconnected!

The monitor made an annoying high-pitched noise when USB-C was connected to a MacBook. I sent the monitor back. Picture quality is decent for a budget monitor, but text isn't particularly sharp.

Unfortunately, the package doesn't include any screws needed to mount the monitor, other than the cheap stand that it comes with. This is a very unfortunate omission.

It's not that the bezel is smaller, but for the price you can't beat it. Not bad image quality, but again this is a budget model. Realistic expectations will lead you to happy outcomes.

I like that the MacBook charges via USB-C, which connects the display. my macbook air 2019 only has two usb-c ports installed, so it's nice that both aren't always used between the charging and the monitor.

This monitor was really good for up to five months. A green bar has formed on the right side of the screen. Tried multiple cables and computers, didn't go away. waste of money and time.

Purchased directly from Viewsonic. Night maps in video games are not rendered even at maximum brightness. Tried to contact support. I was told I should have done more research before purchasing. $300 down the drain. will never buy their products again. Stay away from ViewSonic.

I didn't realize that the video connection with this monitor wasn't what I wanted. So I wouldn't consider it a real computer monitor. The colors are horribly distorted and I can't fix them. That's the price you have to pay to buy a monitor with both VGA and HDMI ports. Basically it's a TV. This is not the manufacturer's fault, I just rushed. But it can be used, so I won't be returning it. But it's not as sharp and clear as advertised.

I bought this monitor as it had a USB-C port for use with my 2021 MacBook Air. Colors are oversaturated and using it for text looks fuzzy. The REAL reason for this review is that the USB-C port on the back of the monitor failed in less than a week. Complete garbage. Cheap plastic joints are no good.

I tried 4 separate USB-C cables before I found the right one. Surprisingly, ViewSonic doesn't include the required USB-C cable with the purchase. The manual that came with it also didn't list the type of USB-C cable I needed, so I had to call ViewSonic support twice.

To be honest, ViewSonic exceeded my expectations. It was much more elegant than I expected. Although the picture could probably be better and it feels warmer than most monitors, it suits my needs perfectly. If you're not picky about monitors, this is a good choice.

I bought it to have a video and power cable for my MacBook Pro but apparently this monitor is not supported by Apple. I then tried using the USB-C port for power and HDMI only with an adapter. My old ViewSonic lasted 10 years, then a few LEDs started flashing and then restarted again. Eventually the LEDs on the other side started doing the same thing so I decided to buy another one. Not quite 4k, but close. I didn't bother getting the latest drivers because the picture was good and I usually have trouble with drivers.
