According to my experience, this drill bit was a complete disappointment. The only positive thing I can say is that it handled basic tasks somewhat decently. However it quickly became dull and ineffective on tougher materials. The worst part? It snapped in half halfway through a project, leaving me stranded without a backup. Save your money and invest in a higher quality drill bit..

Great company, great cutting tools. I mostly use Chicago Latrobe bits because they came to me first (and are obviously good by themselves) :) But for the specific purpose of threading I turn to Viking. See, I understand that some products can be "just as good". For example some exercises maybe. But bits and taps are not products that should be saved. In fact, quality US bits improve upon and make up for any deficiency in the bit itself. If you don't skimp on bits, they will wear out and break…
