Tater Ricer: Riccer

Good weight for a ricer, I liked the three different size screens. It is easy to compress. There are no lumps in the potatoes. The scrub was a nice addition. Be careful. Very sharp! Generally worth the money!

For fluffy potatoes

I had trouble squeezing potatoes. My husband had to do it. I also received two discs with large holes and one disc with small holes with no slots. The potato texture is worth it. Tasty and light.

Love it!: Fruit and Vegetable Tools

I used to make homemade mashed potatoes when my kids were little, but they always complained that it was lumpy. Many years later I was watching a cooking show and I saw this thing. So I evaluated it at Revain and came across this one and it was at a great price. I highly recommend this product to anyone looking for a racer. The seller packed well and I received it quickly.

With some caveats, use

The product is of high quality. The only problem I have is that the disc tilts and moves when you press down. You'll need to fix it so it's level again because half of the disc pops out on the other side. Currently. I use my manual potato masher and then scoop it into a rice machine to make a finer mash. I've found that just putting potatoes in the grater has its own problems. When I found out I was fine.

Medium to large screen openings work best.

The device is made of stainless steel and washing in the dishwasher is a complete success for me. I couldn't get potatoes through the little hole and I'm a big guy. The medium to large strainers were much better and I opted for the medium strainer when I preferred mashed potatoes. A sieve with large holes will still let the potato chunks through, risking a mashed potato that requires a lot of beating.
