This greatly facilitated my puppy's recovery after neutering. She could eat, sleep and move around the house without any problems. On the last day of her recovery, she developed a slow leak. But any donut would do that - it has a very high energy and is constantly crashing into it.

Much better than eco plastic bags! My lab had surgery to remove an ear hematoma and I bought this for him and it kept his bites from itching and he still ate, drank and slept comfortably with it! Also, my son was thrilled that it was a donut lol

We got this for our French bulldog after she was neutered. He came home from the vet in a cone. We couldn't eat or drink in it, and it kept bumping into various objects with it. We put it in a donut and it got a lot better. He can eat, drink and maneuver much better. It even works like a pillow when he's lying down. He doesn't seem to mind wearing it. He doesn't get his cut either.

Our young, large, active dog had an emergency exam that required a large incision down the abdomen. He's naturally clumsy, which is why the Cone of Shame was a nightmare for 24 hours before it arrived. We left it about 80% inflated so he could rest his head comfortably when he lay down and he put it on straight away. It is also so compact that there was no problem with it. To be honest, I think he was a bit sad when he had to go without the built-in pillow!

Our Bernese was neutered along with gastropexy surgery and was in dire need of something other than a cone. He hid against the wall with the cone and literally didn't move. I've seen some reviews that they still have access to their slits, but we were very lucky that ours didn't even try to lick. He was so happy to get a new pillow for that huge head lol! He liked it so much he would run back to put it back on when we took it off to take him down the stairs to use the potty! + in my book!

Our newest large healing dog, 2.5 years old, just neutered. He was having a rough time with the e-collar so I tried a few options that would work better for him and the donut. The cone is even better than I expected! Not only can he see where he's going, but generally feels a lot more comfortable/happier. lick its wound but I would say its the best option for any dog recovering from surgery as long as it is an energetic agile breed!

I used an air compressor to inflate it very quickly. My dog was a little confused when I first put a donut on him, he barked at me in protest for a minute then went to lie down. He got used to it quickly and doesn't seem to mind at all now! He didn't have to lick his injured paw and that solved the problem. He can take a nap and the donut doesn't bother him at all!
