Instructions are ok, but once you get the hang of it, assembly is easy, just takes a little time. I didn't use the mounting screws that came with the ceiling box, but bought some heavy-duty screws from Home Depot that can hold about 40 pounds. I bought this mount for the Optoma HD141x; looks great and works! Installation was easy and the included wall anchors did the trick as I don't have a ceiling stud at the installation site.
