This is my second built in Vizio Chromecast. I took 50-D5 a week ago. They complement each other very well when it comes to music streaming. Most of the reviews I've read have talked about some difficulties setting up Vizio through the app. The first was difficult, but building the second wasn't difficult. I love these speakers. I've listened to several $200 speakers and these are just as good if not better.

This item is almost perfect. The sound is excellent and the connection options are extensive. My only complaint is the automatic pairing with the Avantree Bluetooth transmitter connected to my TV. Now it automatically plays TV audio with a 1 second delay. (This isn't Avantree's fault as there is no lag when pairing with headphones.) I have to leave the audio cable in AUX for the Bluetooth TV audio to stop. I use it to play Chromecast; which is not disturbed by the connected AUX cable.

Incredible sound and range. As many have mentioned, there's no setup via the Smart Cast app, but once connected to your Wi-Fi network, this speaker is a game changer. Battery life is only about 3 hours. No fantasy. The sound quality is okay. Don't expect to be amazed, but don't be disappointed either. The biggest issue for me is connectivity. I'm a techie but I don't understand how to get the smart app to work properly with iPhone 7. Bluetooth is also a little frustrating. We bought 2 of these because the info says you can have multiple speakers paired playing the same music in different rooms. You certainly can IF you don't mind spending 30 minutes trying to accomplish what should be an easy task EVERY time you want to do it! Terrible setup problems. I have Android 7.0 on a Galaxy S8 and the Vizio app which SHOULD be used for the initial setup hangs when I try to connect to Wi-Fi. I tried different ways to get it working but this is the only way to get it working. I've had this speaker for a few months now and really love it. I usually have a very high bar when it comes to these types of speakers, so that said a lot to me. Very few speakers have achieved the same as this one. Versatility and the ability to play from all three sources (Bluetooth, WiFi and Aux Jack) is rare.
