My First Impressions: Absolutely stunning in so many ways

These are just first impressions since I received the lens today but the overall feel of the lens is amazing. The low light capabilities have to be experienced to be believed. The lens construction is reminiscent of Leica and Zeiss planar lenses at a time when heavy all-metal construction was the rule rather than the exception and mechanically smooth operation could be expected from high-quality lenses. An unexpected new favorite lens.

I have to say that before this lens I preferred 25mm for most shots but now at 17.5mm which offers a wider angle I find the Voightlander a much more versatile lens. I'm in no way a pro as you can see from my photos but I love the handcrafted nature of this lens. I feel like I understand the relationship between shutter speed, ISO, exposure and aperture much better now that I have the ability to manually adjust my shots for the best lighting. Forever A Believer

First off, I've been using the GH range since the GH2 days. Of course, when the 5 Series lens was announced, I already had an idea of what I was going to get with the proven Metabones and 18-35 Sigma combo, and it absolutely fits.
