I have to say that before this lens I preferred 25mm for most shots but now at 17.5mm which offers a wider angle I find the Voightlander a much more versatile lens. I'm in no way a pro as you can see from my photos but I love the handcrafted nature of this lens. I feel like I understand the relationship between shutter speed, ISO, exposure and aperture much better now that I have the ability to manually adjust my shots for the best lighting.
