Satisfied Valance on filter

Fits my 2016 Jeep JK Sahara 4 door with no problems. It is recommended to apply some water and water around the green o-ring on the mass air flow sensor when it is disconnected to mount the rubber grommet on the CAI tube. This is a very tight fit and the only tricky part of the setup. The intake gives the engine a nice growl and it certainly feels like the engine and acceleration are more responsive. I installed the valance on my Challenger 3 years ago and have had no problems. I recommend this

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • So-so

Great Air Intake Kit with Debris Filter from volant

Volant added a Donaldson filter to my Jeep and it's fantastic to know the superior system and ability to keep particulates out of my engine. The bad thing is that the kit is haphazardly constructed without considering the provisions for hoses replacing the parts responsible for attachment and also the loss of one of only 3 airbox attachment points. This kit is not for off-road use and in its supplied configuration, with the exception of the filter itself, the kit is of lower quality than I…

Good Air Intake For Jeep Wrangler

Fits 2016 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon. I have previously installed this same air intake on two other Jeep Wranglers (a 2012 Rubicon and a Sahara) with the same results, increased gas mileage (1-2 miles per gallon more) and increased performance, which has been noticeable since the factory air intake very limited. An added bonus is the included Donaldson air filter, the best filter you can buy. The only modification I made was to drill a 7/8" hole in the very bottom of the intake housing to allow…

Pros
  • Very Good Value
Cons
  • Unbelievable Price

Great kit for cold air intake!

Very easy to assemble, except for the temperature sensor in the rubber grommet. I've found that I can easily install the temp sensor by putting my fingers in the end of the tube to hold the grommet. Just push the probe into the grommet and the grommet will come through. The instructions were very, very good. My intake box came with a clear/black lid, not like the chrome one in the product description. If desired, tri-color (red, white and blue) decals can be applied to the inside of the lid to…

Pros
  • There's something to it
Cons
  • Minor problems

Valance CAI made a big difference in my JEEP!

2017 3" JKU with oversized wheels 35" or larger. I felt like I needed to improve the throttle response a bit. This CAI should be a 30 minute job if you follow the correct installation order. With a few minor missteps, it took an hour or less. I disconnected the battery before installing. Throttle response improved after installation, but MPG dropped more than 1 MPG on the same PSI tire. I didn't expect MPG to go up much, but I didn't expect MPG to go down either. I disconnected the battery…

Pros
  • Slim design
Cons
  • Long delivery time

I did a lot of research and read reviews before buying this unit. Unlike most JKU owners, I tow an 18-foot Scamper Eco trailer. He weighs 3360 pounds. and with the package you can go almost anywhere with the motorhome. Last weekend we were at a mountain lake that would be difficult for cars to navigate at best. The main reason I went with the CAI setup was runaway intake manifold temps when towing in the mountains. I have an old cell phone on the dash running the Torque app connected via…

Pros
  • Nice looks

  • Some flaws
