Premium Avian Nutrition: 🐦 Volkman Avian Science Super Parakeet Diet Review

I bought three parrots from craigslist with leftover food from them which was awful. I just gave him this food and told him about the happy little birds, poor things. As an animal lover and older, I made a lot of mistakes because we didn't have internet back then. All you could do was rely on ads and we know it's only meant to sell you and most of the time, we didn't just buy what was in the supermarket. All of our pets are in our charity and I try to do my best for the little boys.

This food was recommended by previous owners of our bird and my son and I was very disappointed to see that the ingredients had added sugar and worst of all coloring. I have been teaching my kids about health and my 8 year old no longer wants to feed his bird this seed as it contains these two ingredients: red dye 40 and blue and yellow dye. If they are harmful to humans, how can they not harm a small bird? Why add these colors? And even sugar? It just goes to show that EVERYTHING in the world…

I could never get my parrots to eat fresh fruit or veg, they just never showed up no matter how hard I tried. Volkman bird food contains dried fruits and vegetables and offers the best value for money. I went to the pet store and saw the top brands that only recycle "vitamin granules" and they're $8 for a 2 pound bag.
