Great wire. This is what you want to connect to your home sound system. However, I was very disappointed to find that they started the roll at the remaining 5ft mark. The box would have been perfect for my house, but I was 4 feet short. Now I need to buy more to finish the last run.

I used this product to connect floor speakers in my garden. I ended up using about 60 meters of cable for two stereo speakers. I buried the wire. It is easy to work with as it is very flexible. The sound quality from the speakers is good, so I don't think there can be much waste in the cable. Overall I am very happy with this product and recommend it for external speakers.

I bought two spools of wire. One Voltive 14/2 speaker wire is 14 AWG/2 gauge CL3 wire and the other is 14/2 speaker wire buried in the ground. Voltive 14/2 was easier to splice, the wire was flexible and the braided wire stripped easily. Another variety was coated with UV-resistant PVC that was difficult to peel and stick. I would probably buy this product again for outdoor use.

Love this wire, it's made to go into the walls and ceiling of the house so you don't have to worry about fires if you use a wire that wasn't designed for this application , very handy with all the information printed on it. For example the amount of film used, what room the pre-cut wire will be used for and, very importantly, how much wire you have left. This is a very high quality cable that makes listening to music and movies great and enjoyable.

This material is quite thick. The strands don't even fit the clamps on my Bose speakers (we barely squeezed them in). I bought it for long runs up to 50 feet. The only thing that worries me is the inscription on the wire. It occupies about one foot by five feet. I'd prefer nothing written or minimal (notes "25ft needed/225ft left" is a nice touch, but again overkill)

I have been using this for speaker cable and before buying I was wondering if the cable would be all 14 AWG. Based on how my wire strippers worked with the wire I'm pretty sure it's true 14 gauge and if you're not careful when using the 14 gauge slot you'll snip some strands . I ended up using a larger 12 gauge slot just to be on the safe side. The outer coating was a bit stiffer than expected, but that's probably a good thing.

Don't call it "speaker cable". It can be used for hundreds of other purposes. By calling this cable Speaker Wire, they discourage buying it for any other legitimate and acceptable purpose. Good quality cable, easy to cut and easy to manoeuvre. Inspectors is the fact that the rated voltage is not indicated on the outer sheath of the cable. Some inspectors will look for it.
