I love this product! My 7 year old dog, Changi, is a bully breed. Keep in mind that this is the first time he has worn such a collar. I only had to press the shock function twice and it stops and runs straight at me. I usually just press the beep and it comes to me with no issues. I had a case where he sees another dog so I text twice and if he doesn't come to me I hit vibrate. The vibration goes up to 8 but I only hit 4-6 depending on how distracted he is.
