This premium automotive vinyl by VViViD Vinyls is specially engineered for DIY'ers. This durable film is ideal for long-term fleet and motorsport marketing applications, and provides a lightweight, economical alternative to paint. At 3.9mils in thickness, the film will stretch and conform to any shape and thick enough that discoloration, stretch marks and other visible defects when wrapping and driving are kept to a minimum. This product has built in VViViD Air Release, VViViD Resist, and VViViD Heat Fuse technologies to support the DIY'ers and the professional look of the completed quality. See the product description below for the details about these technologies. Application: Dry. Adhesive : Solvent-based, repositionable, permanent adhesive. Life: This vinyl is expected to easily last 5-7 years indoors. (For interior applications only!). This Vinyl can be installed using 3M 94 Primer and 3M Edge sealer, these are not mandatory, these products will promote adhesion and add life to your vinyl. The sealer or primer will not remove the glue, deform the vinyl or ruin the texture unlike cheaper quality films.

. There were other carbon fiber vinyls that felt and worked a little better.

I have had other carbon fiber vinyls that felt and applied slightly better, hence the 1 star. I would buy it again for a fair price and the color was exactly what I wanted at the time but I have since spent the money painting my car a different color and painting a few other things/areas that are better with the blue of the carbon fiber operate. One tip: make sure you have the right heat gun for this as some work well enough with a decently powerful hair dryer but as I forgot my heat gun when…

I would not recommend this item. Gone after 2 months of use. I was also upset with the description because it says it can be used indoors and outdoors so I applied it to outdoor surfaces. Then a few days ago I checked the description again and there is a second description that only talks about the interior. I believe I should be reimbursed for the product and the cost of using it professionally. Update: I contacted Vvivid and explained my problem. They said they would replace it as it was…

The actual color is more matte than glossy.

First of all I would like to say that the color is rather matte, not as shiny/bright as the photo on Revain. So I don't really like it. Even the photos I took myself do not reflect the actual color. As for application, aside from a small stereo knob, this was my first time applying vinyl to a complex piece.
