The old muffler actually came loose at the ends of the intake and exhaust pipes. What I noticed is that the intake and exhaust pipes on this muffler are not just pressed into the main unit, they have a rear flange where the pipes are spot welded. He's much calmer. without a noticeable reduction in engine power.

Fits and fits better than I expected from a Revain muffler. My old muffler literally fell to pieces from rust. The hardest part was cutting off the old one and cleaning up the rusty weldments that were stuck to the rest of the exhaust pipe. Then it was easy to put on. Slipped right. Just used some lube.
